The pieces are certainly falling into place in IC. Do you think Moore might be retained as weight coach?
Are any of Z's assistants heading to Corvallis with him? The cost of living is high in the Pacific NW; it might be kind of tough for a married assistant to live there on $50,000. Reply |

I believe Steiner is going to join Z. at Oregon St. I think Hand will be a good asst. coach. Fans got down on him a little because he lost some big matches for the Hawks, but he was a quality HWT. He seemed to wrestle better away from CHA--including a big win vs. Lesnar of MN. that turned around a dual up there. Reply |

Wes is a much better recruiter than he is a wrestler. Although, I think Brands has taught him a lot and will continue to do. In the end he'll become even a better wrestler and come closer to being the best recruiter. I have seen him at the state tournament forever-he's always there to find talent, plus he knows wrestling is not just about technique, it also depends on passion, heart, and determination. Nothing compares to first hand experience.
Wes is a perfect addition to the Iowa Wrestling Program.
